Going Live is one of the BEST ways to connect with your audience, get feedback and show them that YOU are the right person to help them. We’ve been using Lives for over 3 years now. It’s been one of our best tactics and it is something you can really look forward to if done correctly. This module will discuss the ‘Strategy’ and the SOPs we use to make sure this strategy is carried out correctly
Our goal with any sort of ‘Free’ Training or Live isn’t just to “Add-value” although that is a bi-product of this. Our goal is to start DM conversations and hopefully book calls/make sales. In order to make that possible you need to have the right posts in place that will allow you to start as many conversations as possible, for before, during and after the live.
To start conversations we need “bait”. So here are several examples on how we promote the live and then get conversations started:
In addition to DMs we want to make sure people are actually attending the live show so we also add in an event, which will be shown in the SOP.
An Example Content Cadence for a ‘Live’ Event should look like this:
Monday: Long-Form Live Promo - Event Created
Tuesday: Engagement/Value Post
Wednesday: Short-Form Live Promo
Thursday: Live - Doc Available
Friday: Replay (personal profile)
The replay can also be promo’d in the group a week later, so you constantly have action posts going live.
Live Frequency:
Currently we go live once a week, based on the data we’ve seen that frequency is “ok” when we drop our frequency to twice a month the engagement goes up and we can create “bigger topics” which means there’s more attendance.
To establish your voice and get consistent I’d recommend going live once per week to start, then when you’re comfortable it’s time to focus on engagement and sales, so you can switch it to twice a month.
It’s not enough to just get up there and present a training. You need to understand that you are ‘live’ (even if you pre-record your lives), which means we have to play the Facebook game a little. So here’s the structure for our lives, which you should adhere to. This will maximize calls booked and maximize engagement.
Before you go live you should always prepare an “asset” . We typically use docs as it’s our preferred teaching style and also the easiest to create on the fly.
In addition to what you say, your headline and description of your live need to be on point, as you want to maximize your views and engagement. Here’s our template for Headlines/Descriptions:
